Gazprom pipelines and export capacity |
Major Gas Pipelines of Russia and Ukraine
The existing pipelines (blue lines) transport natural gas from the remote fields of West Siberia to Central and Western Europe. In 2013, about 55 percent of European exports of Gazprom went through Ukraine. The South Stream pipeline (red line) is designed to completely replace the Ukrainian transit. Total cost of South Stream project with its feeding pipelines in the Russian territory is estimated at above € 56 Billion (US $ 77 Billion). PDF version of the map can be downloaded from here and this map shows the existing pipelines only. Mikhail Korchemkin February 28, 2014 |
